How to Get to Black City in Pokemon White
Black City Black City is a city that is completely exclusive to Pokmon Black. This city will feature many characters and tasks that will not occur in Pokmon White. In it, you'll find numerous trainers to battle and numerous shops selling items. | |
White Forest White Forest is a city that is completely exclusive to Pokmon White. Unlike Black City, White Forest will have a variety of wild Pokmon as well as characters and tasks that will not occur in Pokmon Black. These include 32 Pokmon unavailable in Black and a variety of items. |
Black City & White Forest both focus on the technology versus nature aspect of the games. As such, Pokmon Black has numerous trainers with fully evolved Pokmon while Pokmon White has their base form as wild in Level 5. When you get to the area, you will notice you only have ccess to a certain amount of these. The Pokmon you will find will change when you encounter others using the Entralink feature within the games. The Pokmon you encounter in these areas is set by your game randomly when you begin.
Over time, if you fiddle with the clock too much, the areas will become deserted with no buildings and trainers in Black City and no grass in White Forest. To fix this, you'll need to go into Entralink with your friends and try and get people to come to your areas. This can only be done between Black City & White Forest. You will not be able to get other trainers to go from two White Forests or two Black Cities. You can only have up to 10 characters in your area at any one time
Each character you encounter has a set value which determines the rate in which they leave. In order to keep them there, you'll need to talk to the inhabitants often and allow them to stay. Once the points hit 0, the character will leave. The points will be detailled below but here is a table stating the rate in which the trainers will stay or leave
Function | Point Value |
Day Passes | -5 per day |
Enter the Area | +3 |
Battle the Trainers Black City | +7 |
Talk to the characters White Forest | +10 |
Pokmon, Trainers & Items
The characters within the area completely control the Pokmon and items you will encounter within the area. This allows for every experience to be different. In order to change the Pokmon and/or trainers you encounter, you need to connect to Entralink with a friend. Once you have done this, interact with the trainers in Black City or the characters in White Forest while in the Entralink and they will begin migrating into your version. If you go to Black City through Entralink while playing White, the base form Pokmon of the trainers you speak to will appear in White Forest and if you go to White Forest while playing Pokmon Black, the wild Pokmon you encounter in the game will cause the trainer with the fully evolved forms to appear in your game.
The items which are seen can be purchased in the market of Black City at any time while the characters are in your city. However, in White Forest, a random amount of items is set every day from 0 to the number of characters you have in White Forest so you can theoretically go days without them appearing on the ground.
The Pokmon encountered within White Forest cannot be Repelled and are all set at Level 5.
